A WORD OF CAUTION . . . . follow this advice below!
DO NOT use an epilator on hair that is too long. Either trim back, shave or wax your hair. Wait until the hair has grown to the short possible length (approx. 2-3 weeks). Manufacturers suggest a good length is 0.5m (which equals to 2-3 weeks).
A word of caution here . . . . if you do not want to follow this advice, you may not want to epilate again.
There are quite a few epilators on the market so choosing one may be a little daunting. So, I have suggested one (1) in particular that I would take into consideration. This is a great beginners epilator and will have for long time as well as being a trusted brand. The down side may be a little too expensive for some.
The product is the Silk-épil 5 SensoSmart™ 5/880 – Braun Starter Set.
- It removes the short hairs waxing cannot catch, for long-lasting smooth skin for up to 4 weeks.
- Ideal for beginners or a new user and 100% waterproof so great for gentle hair removal.
- It also comes with extra attachments which is an added benefit for not your legs but all parts of the body.
Another product is the BaByliss Paris Duo 710 Cordless Epilator. This is not as expensive and yet, as effective as the Silk Epil 5.
The difference is that this epilator uses batteries rather than mains power.
