Papaya has quite a different taste. It has has many benefits, including reduced risk of heath disease, diabetes and cancer. It is also contributing to the age-related macular generation in eye health.

Eating a daily amount of papaya can improve your calcium absorption. Having more calcium help to strengthen and rebuild bones.

Papaya has a high fibre and water content combined which helps prevent constipation. This in turn helps being regular.

Choline which is a nutrient found in papayas. It helps our bodies in sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory. Choline itself helps maintain the structure of cellular membranes. Also in transmission of nerve impulses.

Papaya seeds are edible as well as having a high nutrition. This translates to and including polyphenols and flavonoids which promote better health.

The papaya seeds themselves are also rich in antioxidants. This helps to block oxidative damage to the cells as well as protecting kidney health.
Black Papaya seeds were effective in decreasing growth of prostate cancer cells. More testing needs to be undertaken to check if cancer growth can &/or does occur humans.

Another test is how papaya seeds may affect fertility.

There are many super healthy foods out there. But, it’s also important to keep in mind that having more or in larger quantities is not always better. In other words, good in moderation but harmful in larger amounts.

A safer option is to have a cup of tea. How do you do this?

* Boil the Papaya leaf until the water’s boiled and bubbling;
* Drain water into another cup, not including the leaf/leaves itself;
* How you like your tea will determine how many Papaya leaves you boil ie: strong, weak etc.
